Name of Exam: Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice Sailor Recruitment Exam
Conducting Authority: Indian Navy (Nausena Bharti)
Selection Procedure INDIAN NAVY(Nausena Bharti) Artificer Apprentice SSR/AA
There will be three stages in the exam as stated above to be qualified for all the candidates applying in the concerned entrance exam.
1. Written Exam
2. PFT (Physical Fitness Test)
3. Medical Exam
SELECTION CRITERIA – Selection will be made on Written Test, PFT and Medical Fitness Basis.
- PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST(PFT)- PFT will consist of 1.6 km race which is to be completed in 07 minutes, 20 Squats (Utthak Baithak) and 10 Push Ups.
- WRITTEN TEST- Exam will be objective Type in bilingual language which consists four parts i.e. English, Math, Science and General Knowledge at 12th level. Duration of Exam will be one hour.
Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice (Sailors) Exam Syllabus
Paper Pattern for Artificer Apprentice Written Exam 2015 :-The written exam shall be an objective type test having multiple choice based questions on the following main sections:
Section I: English
Section II: Science
Section III: Mathematics and
Section IV: General Knowledge
Duration of Exam: 1 Hour
Syllabus for Written Exam: It will be equivalent to the Intermediate/ Class 12th standard.
Language of Questions: Both English as well as Hindi

3).Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Electromagnetic waves.
4). Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiations, Atomic Nucleus / Solid and Semi-Conductor Devices, Principles of Communication.
5). Metals and Non Metals, Organic Chemistry, Food, Nutrition and Health, Physiology and Human Diseases, Computer Science.

2). Cartesian System of Rectangular Coordinates, Straight Lines Family of Straight lines, circles.
3). Conic Sections, Permutations and Combinations, Vectors, Exponential and Logarithmic Series, Sets and Set Theory, Statistics.
4). introduction to Three-Dimensional Geometry,Probability Function, Limits and Continuity, Differentiation, Applications of Derivatives.
5). Indefinite Integrals Binomial Theorem, Matrices,Determinants, Definite Integrals.
1). Passage, Preposition, Correction of sentences, Change active to passive/passive to active voice.
2). Change direct to indirect/indirect to direct, Verbs/Tense/Non Finites, Punctuation.
3). Substituting phrasal verbs for expression, Synonyms and Antonyms, meanings of difficult words.
4). Use of adjective, Compound preposition, Determiners (use of a, the, any etc), Use of pronouns.
1). Culture and Religion, Geography: Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland Harbours, And Freedom Movement.
