Indian Air Force physical standards and medical standards required in an Airman are explained below in details.

To  join IAF as Airman should have required minimum height, weight, chest measurement, vision and more.

Chest measurement: Must have minimum expansion of 5 cm

Dental: candidates should have healthy gums with minimum 14 dental points.

Hearing: hearing should be normal with ability of each ear separately to hear a forced whisper from minimum distance of 6 meters.

Health: Candidate should not suffer from any surgical or medical deformity, including communicable diseases and skin infections.

Weight: Weight must be in proportion to height and age of candidate.
