RRB Pharmacist – III Date of Written Examination – 08.02.2015 (Sunday)

RRB Pharmacist – III Date of Written Examination :– Written examination for Para-Medical Staff posts will be held on 08.02.2015  (on the same day by all Participating RRBs).

Age Limit :- Candidates age must have between 18-33 years (Age relaxations extended as per Govt. rules)

Exam Pattern : The recruitment process for the post(s) notified in this Centralized Employment Notification is given in last column of the vacancy table. Exam Pattern for the Para Medical Staff written Exam is as Follows:-

RRB Para-Medical Staff Selection Procedure 2015 :- Selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of written examination. The recruitment process for the post(s) notified in this Centralized Employment Notification is based on Single stage written examination followed by interview and /or verification of original documents,availability of vacancies and reservation rules. 

Subjects/Topics :-The standard of questions for the written examination will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or minimum technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and reasoning, General Science also. The Question paper will have approximately 100 questions.

Same Day Examination:- RRB Senior Section Engineer (SE) Written Examination will be held on the same day by all participating RRBs.

Negative Marking :- There shall be penalty (negative marking) in written examination and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @ 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.

Question paper languages :- The Question papers shall be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The questions paper will be in English, Hindi, Urdu and local languages.

Questions Types :- The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices. NOTE -Some of the RRB(s) may offer option for ONLINE examination also.

Exam Duration :-  Duration of the examination will be 90 minutes.

Candidates should read the instructions on the cover page of Question Booklet, OMR Answer Sheet and e-Admit Card carefully and follow them scrupulously. Failure to comply with the instructions may lead to non-evaluation of OMR answer sheet.

NOTE-(l): – Candidates are not permitted to use calculators and other electronic gadgets.They should not, therefore, bring the same inside the Examination Premises. If any candidates found to possess mobile phone or any other means of wireless communication, in working or switched off mode, his/her candidature shall be canceled forthwith and he/she will be debarred from RRB examinations.

Based on the performance of candidates in the written examination, candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification in the main list. In addition, 30% extra candidates are also called as standby. However, they are considered for empanelment only if there is shortfall in empanelment from the main list. During document verification,candidates will have to produce their original certificates. No additional time will be given and the candidature of the candidates not producing their original certificates on the date of verification is liable to be forfeited.

RRB Pharmacist – III Para-Medical Staff Appointment :-of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates.

 General Awareness About 60 questions from General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and reasoning.

General Awareness :- Questions are designed to test the candidate‟s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research.

Arithmetic :- The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

General Intelligence/Reasoning :-  It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on Semantic Analogy, Symbolic operations, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation, Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/Number Classification, Drawing inferences, Figural Classification, Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding, Semantic Series, Figural Pattern–folding and completion, Number Series, Embedded figures, Figural Series, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, Word Building, Social Intelligence, Coding and de-coding, Other sub-topics, if any Numerical operations.
